Mrs. Annie “Doris” Reaves, age 90, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, at LaFayette Extended Care in LaFayette, Alabama.     

     Mrs. Reaves is survived by her daughter, Sandra (M.V.) Langley of Pine Mountain, GA; her grandson, David (Terra) Langley of Macon, GA; her granddaughter, Deborah (Donny) Slocumb of Columbus, GA; her six great grandchildren, Amber Langley, Jacob Langley, Kenzie Langley, Chase Slocumb, Carson Slocumb, and Cayden Slocumb; and her two great-great grandchildren, Raven and Hope.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny M. Reaves; three sisters, Ruby Adcock, Eula Fulghum, and Mamie House; and three brothers, Joe Anglin, Elmer Anglin, and Albert Anglin.

     Mrs. Reaves was born on July 25, 1926 in Chambers County, AL. She was a member of Plant City Methodist Church. She worked for Playtex Corporation in LaFayette and later at Lanett Mill in the cloth room.

     Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, AL with the Rev. Milton Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
