Mrs. Barbara Allen Nuncio, age 79, of Lanett passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Nuncio was born in Chambers County on November 22, 1938 to the late Rex and Carrie Irene Wood Allen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andres John Nuncio; her sons, Anthony Nuncio, Chris Nuncio, and Steven Nuncio; granddaughters, Lindsey Nuncio and Kayla Nuncio.

Mrs. Nuncio was a loyal and devoted Atlanta Braves fan.  She took much delight and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 11:00A.M. EST at the Osanippa Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Samanie officiating.   The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00P.M. EST until 8:00P.M. EST.

She is survived by her children, Sheree (Robert) Smith, Mandeville, LA., Michael Nuncio, Mandeville, LA., Keith (Kim) Nuncio, Beulah, David (Brigette) Nuncio, Mandeville, LA., Susan (Wayne Bailey) King, Valley, Ronald Nuncio, Mandeville, LA.; siblings, Eurtice Allen, Tennessee, Sybil Tittle, Florida, Anne Howard, Lanett, Gregory Allen, Lanett; 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to Chattahoochee Hospice.
