When I think of Mr. Cliff, I think of joy and laughter and that wonderful giggly handshake he always gave Jenny's friends when he saw us. The Glover home was filled with love and kindness and was always an exciting place to visit. Mr. Cliff lived his faith and will be missed by so many for so many different reasons, but oh the joy in heaven upon his arrival. Thinking with love of the sweet memories of a wonderful man and his family.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Glover's passing. He was an amazing person and I am happy to have been one of his employees at Batson Cook. He and Mr. Huguley were truly Southern Gentlemen. Love and Prayers to the family.

Mr. Glover hired me at Batson-Cook Co. in 1960. I am saddened to learn of his passing and wish to express condolences to his family. Good business and personal ethics, strong character and quality leadership contributed to make him a role model for me. These qualities influenced me to remain a Batson-Cook employee until retirement.

My condolences to the Glover family. Though I did not know him, I noticed in the Columbus paper that he was 1934 graduate of UNC. My father attended UNC at the same time, though not in the same fraternity, and I have the yearbooks from their time there. If you are interested and do not have copies of the "Yackety Yack," I would be happy to send you his picture from the KA composite pages and the Senior pages. Again, please accept my condolences for a life well lived. Richard Straus

Knowing Cliff for the last twelve years was such a joy! He was always so welcoming and friendly, and undoubtedly the most tireless and smoothest dancer in the South!
The years he and Nicky shared were such a blessing to their families as well as to them; it made us happy just being around them.
Sending prayers for peace and comfort to the "children" as they say good-by for awhile.
Always- Mary Anne

Maxine and I send our condolences to the family. Cliff was a "giant " in Ga.'s
commercial construction industry. He was one of the most delightful & engaging
friends one could have and a fierce competitor on the golf course. Our over
50 years of friendship are filled with wonderful memories.

I am sure there was great rejoicing in heaven by my dad when Cliff arrived; so they could pick up on their almost 80-year friendship. They are sharing the tall tales of golf, water skiing, building red clay tennis courts, AGC conventions and all they great times they had together. Shooting dice for nickel cokes in the basement at Batson Cook was just one of the legends I knew about and I am confident you all know many more. It was a great friendship.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this sad time. It is so hard to lose your father. But I lift praise for the great example of a longtime friendship our fathers provided.
With loving sympathy,
Marian “Biddy” Smith Long
