Faye Nolen Obituary

 

 

 

 

     Mrs. Faye Yates Nolen, age 80, of Lanett, AL passed away on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. She was born on March 20th, 1938 at the Langdale Hospital in Langdale, AL.

 

     Mrs. Nolen will be greatly missed by her children, Tony Gordon, Randy (Ginny) Gordon, Angie Gordon (Bill) Tyson, Darlene Daniel (Eric) Williams, and Ken (Debbie) Nolen; her grandchildren, Shae McDonald, Nicholas Gordon, Christopher Gordon, Brooke Wascom, Russell Williams, Kenneth Nolen, Abby Nolen, Kristen Nolen, Samantha Nolen, Michelle Daniel, Stephanie Nash, and Lucas Tyson; her thirteen great grandchildren; her sister, Dottie Cole; and many nieces and nephews.

 

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyn Nolen; her mother, Sybil Miller Yates; her father, Roscoe Yates; her sister, Janice Yates Eubanks; her daughter in law, Belinda Gordon; her brothers in law, Dudley Eubanks and Jerry Cole; and her nephew, Michael Cole. Mrs. Nolen was a retired employee of West Point Stevens. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and Elvis music. While we are grieved by her passing, we know she in in Heaven reunited with her husband and is at home with the Lord.

 

     Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Pastor Darren White officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
