Ina Mae Walden, 80, a resident of Lanett, AL passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at EAMC at Opelika.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with Rev. Jeff Thorn and Rev. Steve Sexton officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Walden is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe E. Walden; children, Joe W. Walden (Penny) & Peggy Sexton (Steve) both of Lanett; and Jonathan Walden (Felicia) of Pensacola; grandchildren, Adam Walden, Elizabeth Crowe, Stephanie Wilson, Sable Sexton, Dalton Sexton, Jordan Walden & Taylor Walden; great-grandchildren; Kynslee Crowe & Braylen Crowe; two brothers, Billy Ray Pollard & Steve Wayne Pollard; sister, Linda Robinson and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. & Alice Benefield Pollard and siblings, Gordon, Gene, Henry, Raymond, & Roger Pollard and her sister, Faye Lynn Laney. 

Mrs. Walden was born in Roanoke, AL on June 22, 1936.  She was a newspaper carrier for the Valley Times News.  She loved to build and sew, and was a member of the Central Baptist Church. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church or to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
