Mr. James G. Kelley, age 80, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Kelley was born on January 30, 1936 in Clay County, Alabama to the late Thomas and Bertha Kelley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2:00P.M. EDT at Emmanuel Baptist Church with interment in Langdale Cemetery.  The Rev. Darren White and the Rev. Raymond Sorrells officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00P.M. EDT until 9:00P.M. EDT.

Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife, Clara Mezick Kelley; sons, James A. (Debbie) Kelley, Valley, Robert E. Kelley, Valley; brothers, Dale Kelley, LaGrange, GA., Darren (Donna) Kelley, West Point, GA., Ronnie (Debbie) Kelley, Lanett; sisters, Lena Ann Watkins, Lanett, Linda Jean Kelley, Scurry, TX.; sons, Darryl (Benita) Mezick, Valley, Jimmy (JoAnna) Mezick, Valley; daughter, Debra (Keith) Carnley, Ackworth, GA.; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lavara Kelley;  brother, Bayron Kelley; sister, Mary Sides; daughter, Jeri Black.

Mr. Kelley was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  He loved his church and his church family. 

He loved wood working, gardening, and antique cars.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his name to Chattahoochee Hospice.
