Ms. Janice Thompson-Booker, age 63, of Valley, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley. 

     Ms. Thompson-Booker is survived by her two daughters, Tammy (Lamar) Browning and Felicia (Jesus) Valencia, both of Valley, AL; her three grandchildren, Jarrett Browning, Lauren Valencia, and Landon Browning; her five siblings, Larry Douglas, Marvin (Sheila) Futch, Jerry (Tammie) Futch, Charles (Kathy) Douglas, and Mary (Bobby) Stokes; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Calvin Booker and Dallas Thompson.

     Ms. Thompson-Booker was born on October 11, 1952 in Savannah, GA to the late Woodrow Douglas and Daisy Futch.  She was a member of the Riverview Pentecostal Church of God.  She loved her family and being with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed going to church and talking to people about the Lord.

     Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Amy Messer officiating.  Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
