Jeffery Benson Wilson

     Mr. Jeffery Benson Wilson, age 59, of Auburn, AL passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. He was born on September 9, 1958 in Langdale, AL.

     Mr. Wilson is survived by his sister, Joellen Wilson Berry (Danny) of Valley, AL; his brother, Stephen Gary Wilson (Kathy) of Valley, AL; his niece, Kathryn Berry Garmon (Clay) of Valley, Al; his nephew, Jeremy Joseph Wilson of Auburn, AL; one great nephew and one great niece.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Benson Wilson and Joan Lamb Wilson; and his nephew, William Gary Wilson.

     Mr. Wilson was a member of the Fairfax United Methodist Church. He grew up in the Fairfax community. Over the years he volunteered for Hospice and the Shepherding Program at Fairfax United Methodist Church. Jeffery had a compassion for helping others.

     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 4:00 PM (EST) at the graveside in Fairfax Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Messer officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Jeffery’s memory to the Fairfax United Methodist Church, 901 Boulevard, Valley, AL, 36854.
