Jody Michael Sorrells, 36, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Valley.  Funeral services will be held at Johnson Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM EST with burial to follow in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, GA.  Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home. 

Mr. Sorrells is survived by his wife, Emily Sorrells; four children, Skyler Michael Sorrells, Alyssa Jaylin Sorrells, Michael Andrew Sorrells, Dylan Scott Sorrells; sister, Laci Sorrells Martin; niece, Brittany Sorrells Boatman; grandmother, Nanny Kelley; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was born in LaGrange, GA, and was a graduate of Old Path Christian School.  He was a quiet and gentle soul who loved his family and Alabama football.   He was of the Baptist faith.
