Mr. Maxon Moncrief, 74, a resident of Lanett, AL passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at EAMC Lanier Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 4:00 PM EST at the First Baptist Church of Lanett with Rev. Ronnie Jordan officiating.  Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Mr. Moncrief was born in Langdale, AL on February 11, 1943.  He was a graduate of Auburn University and had worked with United Business Forms in LaGrange, GA.  He was a member of the West Point Masonic Lodge and had been a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Lanett.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lanett.  Survivors include his wife, Paula R. Moncrief of Lanett; son, Max Moncrief (Paula) of Auburn, AL; two grandchildren, Haley & Anthony Moncrief.
