Mr. Eugene Douglas Obituary

Mr. Eugene Douglas, age 89, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at the EAMC Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.

Mr. Douglas was born on September 7th, 1928 in Plant City, Alabama to the late Fred N. Douglas and Pauline Rogers Douglas.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Douglas; great-grandson, Kyle Michael Bray; and 12 siblings.

Mr. Douglas owned and operated the Plant City Curb Market for several years.

Mr. Douglas was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed gardening. 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at 2:00P.M. EST at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Elliott officiating.   No visitation is planned prior to the graveside service.  

Mr. Douglas is survived by his son, Fred Douglas, Valley; daughter, Pam (Ennis) Hester, Warner Robins, GA.; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Bob) Bray, Frisco, TX; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Emily Bray, Frisco, TX. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mr. Douglas’ name to a charity of your choice.
