Mr. Larry “Truck Driver” Whaley, age 58, of Valley passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Mr. Whaley was born on November 13^th, 1958 in Langdale, Alabama to the late Curtis E. Whaley and Jessie M. Herron Whaley.

Mr. Whaley attended the Community Baptist Church.

He worked at the Martex Warehouse for over 28 years. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars.  He loved his family and his grandchildren.

Mr. Whaley is survived by his wife, Sarah V. Whaley; children, Larry Van (Amy) Whaley, Adam Reed (Samantha) Whaley, Daryl DeWayne Whaley, all of Valley; sisters, Rose (Keith) Paul, Opelika, Cindie (Greg) Neace, Opelika; grandchildren, Jordan, Seth, Mason, Aubrey, Haden, Alex, Landon.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 24^th, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. EDT at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama.   His family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. EDT until 7:00 P.M. EDT.
