Mr. Miles Donald Clark, age 79, of Valley, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11th, 2018.

Mr. Clark was born on February 14th, 1939 to Claude and Myrtis Clark in the Ridge Grove Community.  He lived most of his life in the Valley area. 

He worked in the Langdale Mill and he retired from the West Point Foundry and Machine Company.

Mr. Clark was a United States Army veteran. 

He was an avid University of Alabama Football fan and loved gospel and bluegrass music. 

He was an active member of the Lanett Nazarene Church and loved his church family.

He was married to the late Betty G. Clark for 47 years, who died in 2012.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.

Mr. Clark is survived by his daughter, Gaile Nixon Dykes, Valley; son, Toby(Willene) Nixon, Lanett; four grandchildren, Christy Sorrell, Valley, Whitney (Herbie) Clark, Beauregard, Garrett Nixon, Valley, Adam Dykes, Oklahoma.  Mr. Clark was a loving great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at 11:00A.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with interment following in Shawmut Cemetery.  The Reverend Kent Pelton officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT.
