Mr. Ralph C. Roberts, age 87, of West Point, Georgia passed away on Saturday September 16th, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Roberts was born in Lanett, Alabama on July 31st, 1930 to the late Johnny Roberts and Eunice Lankford Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Josh Dykes, and his son-in-law, Johnny Cochran.
Mr. Roberts was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He was retired from West Point Stevens where he worked in the Lanett Mill. He attended Evangel Temple.
After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He often would prepare meals on his grill for the entire family. He also enjoyed spending time with his close friends and especially enjoyed their breakfasts at Chic Delite in West Point, Georgia. In his spare time, he was an avid NASCAR fan and took as many opportunities as he could to enjoy the lake and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Roberts; children, Belinda Cochran, Terrye Roberts Dykes, and Dennis L. Roberts and his wife, Kim; siblings, Allene Allen, Pete Brown; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, Georgia with the Reverend Dennis Harmon officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery from 1:00P.M. EDT until the service hour.
