Mr. Randy Cotney, age 61, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 31^st, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Health Services in Valley, Alabama.

Mr. Cotney was born on February 4^th, 1956 in Langdale, Alabama to Mavis Cotney and the late O.D. Cotney.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Cotney.

Mr. Cotney was a member of the Lanett Church of the Nazarene.

He worked for West Point Pepperell’s Fairview Mill for 27 years before retiring.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his mother watching game shows.

Mr. Cotney is survived by his mother, Mavis Cotney; brother, Jeff Cotney; daughter, Kelli Hart; granddaughter, Jessica Hart; two nephews, Michael Cotney and Jacob Cotney; one niece, Mellissa Cotney.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2^nd, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett. The Reverend Ken Wyatt, the Reverend Bernie Deffinger, the Reverend Kent Pelton, and the Reverend Mark McGee officiating.  His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 1:00P.M. EDT until the service hour.
