Mr. Tom Coker, age 80, of Boaz, Alabama, formerly of Valley, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 3^rd, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Coker was born in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama on April 4^th, 1937 to the late Wilford A. Coker and Lena Maybell Monroe Coker.

Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his wife, Reva E. Coker.

He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. 

Mr. Coker worked for and retired from the West Point Pepperell Langdale Mill after 44 years of service.  After retiring from Langdale Mill, he went on to work for West Point Harbor for 10 years.  Mr. Coker enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and listening to gospel music, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Cheryl Hubbard, Boaz, Paul Corley, Valley, David Jones, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gayla Lang, Germany; grandchildren, Ronnie Coker, Beauregard, Chanda Crowder, Boaz, Jeremy Crowder, Beauregard, Cassie Corley, Valley, Tammy Corley, New York, Megan Lang, Germany, Amber Gordy, Valley, Dustin Smith; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Doyle Coker, Dadeville, Jerry Coker, Cusseta, Paul Coker, Valley, Pam Daniel, Valley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6^th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Johnson Memorial Gardens.  His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00P.M. EST until 7:00P.M. EST.
