Mrs. Barbara Margaret Henderson, age 85, of Valley passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the EAMC Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.

Mrs. Henderson was born on October 2, 1930 in Camp Hill, Alabama to the late Marvin and Naomia Stewart Stodghill. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley, where she sang in the choir and also taught Sunday School classes.  She retired from West Point Pepperell with over 50 years of service. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Alabama.  Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Lanett.  The Rev. Nathan Lawrence officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT. 

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Henderson; son, Randall (Merrie) Milner; daughter, Brenda Young; grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Holly, Joseph, Lelia, Christy (Travis) Chambers, Andy Peacock; great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Josh, Shelby, Justin, Tyler, Dylan, and Ethan; brothers, William Stodghill, Roy Stodghill, Vernon Stodghill, Virgil Stodghill; sisters, Linda Lohmeyer, Betty Walker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Stodghill and Naomia Stewart Stodghill; siblings, Floyd, Marie, Sylvia, Ray, Harold, and J.D.
