Mrs. Carridell "Pee Wee" Tillery

October 11, 1926 ~ December 24, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years Old


Mrs. Carridell “Pee Wee” Tillery, age 91, formerly of Valley, left for her heavenly home in time for Christmas on the eve of Christmas in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Mrs. Tillery was born in Randolph County, Alabama on October 11th, 1926 to the late William George Fincher and Lola Adamson Fincher.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Tillery; daughter, Shirley Ann Brannon; four brothers, Infant Baby Boy Fincher, William Edward Fincher, Herman Gordon Fincher, and Roy Lee Fincher; one sister, Mattie Blanche Lynn; grandson, David Scott Fallis.

She was of the Pentecostal faith, but due to her declining health could not attend church as she had in her earlier years, but faithfully enjoyed her preachers and gospel music on television. She enjoyed her flowers and watching the birds outside her window visiting the birdfeeder.

She resided at Sylvia Word Manor in Valley, Alabama for many years until her health required her to move to Frankfort, Kentucky to live with her oldest daughter. 

Mrs. Tillery is survived by her daughters, Linda Brannon Fallis, Frankfort, KY, Mattie Brannon (Wayne) Birditt, Valley, Alabama, Wylene Brannon Shurett, Canton, Georgia, Joann Brannon (Ronnie) Ray, Lawrenceburg, KY, Billie Jean Brannon Taylor, Lawrenceburg, KY; sisters, Edna Waller, Valley, Alabama, Betty June Calhoun, Lanett, Alabama, Ruth Lariscy, Lanett, Alabama10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at 4:00P.M. EST at Fairfax Cemetery with her grandson, the Reverend Danny Shurett, officiating. Her family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley on Saturday from 3:00P.M. EST until 3:45P.M. EST. 

Pee Wee will be sorely missed by her many friends and family.
