Mrs. Christeen L. Duke, age 96, of Lanett passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Duke was born in LaFayette, Alabama on August 20, 1920.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Duke.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2:00P.M. at Resthaven Cemetery in Lanett.  The Rev. Danny Smith officiating.  No visitation is planned at this time.

Mrs. Duke is survived by her children, Steve Duke, Lanett; daughters, Jimmie Norman, Pine Mountain, GA., Brenda Hood, Auburn; grandsons, Mark Vining, Pine Mountain, GA., Drew Hood, Santa Rosa Beach, FL.; great-grandchildren, Josiah Hood and Sarah Grace Hood, Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

Mrs. Duke was a member of Harrington Heights United Methodist Church in Lanett.  She was retired from the West Point Pepperell Textiles Company. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
