Mrs. Debra Carol Lowery, age 61, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 19^th, 2017 at the LaGrange Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

Mrs. Lowery was born on September 25^th, 1955 in Carrollton, Georgia to Bryson and Jeanette Tilley.   She was preceded in death by her father, Bryson Tilley, and her husband, Richard Lowery.

Mrs. Lowery was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. 

Prior to her husband’s death, she and Mr. Lowery traveled around the United States designing and building golf courses.  They both enjoyed taking road trips together and with friends on their Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

She was a very outspoken lady with a stern disposition who often listened to others and gave advice to her family and friends.  She was a very caring and good hearted lady who cared deeply for her family.  She strove for perfection in her life.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved the beach, and enjoyed listening to country music.  In her later years, she was open to different genres of music that her family listened to while they spent time together.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by her children, Amanda (Marissa) Hall, Lanett, Scott Clifton, Georgia, Brian (Gail) Clifton, Ellabell, Georgia; stepchildren, Stacey Hall, Valley, Michelle Hall, Fredonia; mother, Jeanette Tilley; siblings, Grey Tilley, Valley, Randy Tilley, Valley, Kathy Nelson, Titus, Alabama; grandchildren, Debra Ann Clifton, Zach Clifton; great-grandchildren,  Aiden Clifton, Remi Clifton, Ayven Lewis.

At her request, a private celebration of life will be held by her family at a later date.
