Mrs. Eloise J. Hinkle, affectionately known as “Nana”, age 82, of Valley passed away on Sunday, December 10^th, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Mrs. Hinkle was born on November 6^th, 1935 in North Carolina to the late Garland Jones and Clara Bunn Jones. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Theron Hinkle, and her sister, Ola Mae Jones.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hinkle loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.  She loved to shop and enjoyed long conversations on the phone with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Vickie (Johnny) Ridgeway, Valley, Connie (Bill) Haddock, Merritt Island, Florida; siblings, Ethrow Jones, North Carolina, Raymond Jones, Virginia; grandchildren, Tracy Ridgeway Shepard, Lanett, Maya (Daryl) Bowling, Valley, Johnny (Nelle) Ridgeway, Silver Springs, MD, Ronnie (Quan) Haddock, Merritt Island, Florida, Celeste (David) Humphrey, Tampa, Florida; great-grandchildren, Kyndal and Hunter Bowling, Ambrea and Aniyah Ridgeway, Meric Humphrey, Jaden and Leo Haddock; great-grandchild, Gabriel Ethan Taylor; sister-in-law, Evelyn Hinkle; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 14^th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EST at Resthaven Cemetery with the Reverend Bogey Cotney officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley on Wednesday evening from 6:00P.M. EST until 8:00P.M. EST.
