Mrs. Lucile P. Colley, age 87, of Valley passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.

Mrs. Colley was born in Valley, Alabama on February 8, 1930.

Affectionately known as "Maw Maw" to all that knew her, Mrs. Colley was a sweet, gentle spirited lady who never complained.  She loved her family, quilting, and working word puzzles.  She was an excellent seamstress and cook.  She retired from the Fairfax Mill after 31 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Roger Colley; her brothers, Dr. Francis Marvin Powell and Joseph Andrew Winston Powell; sister, Myrtie Powell Kilgore.

She is survived by her children, Elaine (Charles) McGhee, Valley; Marcia (Michael) Davis, Valley; Linda (Don) Swader, Elberta, Alabama; Kathy (Bobby) Pickard, Cusseta; Tyrone (Jackie) Colley, Valley; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 3:00P.M. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with interment following in Fairfax Cemetery.  The Rev. Steve York officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00P.M. EST until the service hour.
