Mrs. Mary Nell McCollough, age 91, of the Lake Harding Community passed away on Monday, September 11^th, 2017 at the LaFayette Nursing Home in LaFayette, Alabama.

Mrs. McCollough was born in LaGrange, Georgia on November 28, 1925 to the late John McClain and Lucille Farrah McClain. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordy McCollough, and a grandson, Kevin Mitchell Hanners.

Mrs. McCollough was a member of Rocky Mount The Church at Lake Harding.

She enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time.

Surviving Mrs. McCollough are her daughter and her husband, Judy and Elmer Hanners, Opelika; grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Opelika, Brian Hanners, Opelika; sister, Helen Cooley, LaGrange, Georgia; brother, Bobby McClain, Alpharetta, Georgia.

Funeral services for Mrs. McCollough will be held on Thursday, September 14^th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley.  The Reverend Ben Hewitt officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 1:00P.M. EDT until 2:00P.M. EDT.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
