Mrs. Sara Kelley Prophett, age 96, formerly of Valley, passed away on Thursday August 10th, 2017 in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.

Mrs. Prophett was born August 10, 1921, to the late Edna and Jesse V. Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her husband John L Prophett.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jane (Patrick) Green and Mona (Val) Nash, 4 grandchildren; Andy, Amy, Kristin, and Mike; 3 great grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Fairfax Baptist Church, 510 Denson Street, Valley, AL on Monday August 14th at 11:00 A.M. EDT.  The family will be receiving friends at the church on Monday prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. EDT until the service hour.
