Mrs. Shirley Y. Allen

Mrs. Shirley Y. Allen, 81, a resident of Huguley, AL passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at her residence.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, AL.  Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Lanett.  Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen is survived by two sons, Richard Allen, Michael Allen; two step-sons, Randy Allen and Roger Allen; two sisters, Ellene Rice, Janelle Stodghill; brother, Robert Yarbrough, Jr.; and four grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford Allen.

Mrs. Allen was born in Chambers County, AL.  She worked for Playtex in Lafayette for 20 years, and then worked for MARTEX in Valley and retired after 23 years of service.  She was a member of the Huguley Baptist Church.  She enjoyed being around and visiting her sisters, and brother, and loved her church.
