Mrs. Sylvia Ann Bell, 78, of Valley, AL passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at her daughter’s home in West Point, Georgia.

     Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter, Billie Ann (Tim) Langford; her three grandchildren, Zachary Lee (Brooke) Smith, Matthew Corey (Rebecca) Lindsey, and Dudley Thomas Langford; her four great grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Hudson Smith, Jonathan Lindsey, and Jacob Lindsey; her four nieces and nephews, Angie Ledford, Chris Ledford, Ashley Hanner, and Jessica Ledford, two great nephews, Mark Ledford and Scott Hinkle; a host of other great nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Phelps.

     She was preceded in death by her former husband, Billy Wayne Bell; and her faithful Yorkie companion Rudy.

     Mrs. Bell was born on September 23, 1938 at her family’s home in Langdale, Alabama to the late George T. Ledford, Sr. and Louise Jennings Ledford. She was a member of Langdale Baptist Church. She was well known in throughout the greater Valley area. She was a talented musician who was very accomplished playing the piano and the flute. She was a pet lover who enjoyed the outdoors, her flowers, and music.

     Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 4:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Trinity Pike officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
