Mr. “W.A.” Walter Williams, Jr.,  age 81, of Lanett, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his residence.

     Mr. Williams is survived by his two daughters, Wendy Williams and Venita Turner; his son, Blain Turner; three sisters, Margaret Blyler, Shirley Eisenhart, and Patsy Pritchett.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Wynette Williams; his sister, Leatrice Townson; and his brother, Jimmy Williams.

     Mr. Williams was born on March 5, 1936 in West Point, Georgia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Point. He was an avid University of Georgia and NASCAR fan. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were the former Owners and Operators of Valley Bowl.

     Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:30 AM at the graveside in Johnson Memorial Gardens in Valley, AL with Pastor Darren White and Pastor Blain Turner officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and Friday morning from 10:30 AM until the service hour at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
