Mr. William Samuel “Sam” Walls, Sr., age 73, of Valley, AL passed away on Valentine’s Day at home, fitting as he joined his sweetheart and love of his life in Heaven.

     Mr. Walls leaves behind his children, Gina Perez, Mitzi Walker (Brian), Joann Newton Rinehart (Scott), Robert Davis (his pet Izzie), and Sam Walls, Jr. (Michelle); 27 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Davis Walls; his son, Richard Walls; and his daughter, Tricia Harris.

     Mr. Walls was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was of the Christian faith. He retired from Wells Fargo Security after years of service and was the first driver for the Valley Center meals on wheels. He will be missed here on earth but we rejoice and celebrate his life.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the graveside in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Lawrence officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
