Mrs. Katherine P Colley

Katherine P. Colley died peacefully on October 26th, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Inez Perryman; Father, Thomas Perryman Sr.; Brother, James Perryman, and sister, Nora Hudson.

Katherine is survived by Edward F. Colley Jr., her husband of 23 years, Brothers; Thomas Perryman Jr. and Mark Perryman. Children; Russell Bishop (JoAnn Bishop), Jonathan Bishop (Mercedes Garcia), Tyler Nelson (Amanda Nelson), Lisa Nelson, Shane Colley, and Pamela East. Grandchildren; Kayla Dean, Harley Bishop, Michael Fontenot, Jeremy Bishop, Britney Bishop, Austin Chambers, Alexis Chambers, Katie Beth Nelson, Brenly Nelson, Greyson Nelson, Rihanna Garcia, Nichole Esparza, Jenson Esparza, Kinsley, Jordan, and Dana. Along with great-grandchildren; Everlee Moore, Cam Aiken, and Seth Dean. Additionally, she leaves behind her lifelong friend Judy Williamson.

In life, Katherine was employed for several years at WestPoint Stevens. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She loved taking family trips to the beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who truly cherished those she held dear. Katherine was a member of the Upper Room Church in Valley, Alabama where she was a selfless servant of God who always gave her time freely to anyone who needed her. 

Funeral services will be at The Upper Room Church on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM EST with the Rev. Bogie Cotney officiating.  Burial will follow at Evangel Temple Cemetery in Lanett.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  Those attending are asked to observe the CDC & ADPH guidelines regarding the use of mask and social distancing.
