Mrs. Lucy Bell Henderson

Mrs. Lucy Bell Henderson, 97, of Lanett, Alabama passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 11, 2022.

Mrs. Henderson was born in Chambers County, Alabama on April 12, 1925, to the late Albert Riley Bell and Ersa Francis Rearden Bell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Jack Henderson and her son Buck Henderson.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lanett.  She loved her church and her church family.

She enjoyed collecting antiques including Depression Era glass and other relics from the past.  She was very talented in quilt making and provided quilts for her family, friends and anyone else who needed one.  She also enjoyed fishing in her spare time.

Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving were some of her favorite times of the year. It allowed her to bring her entire family together and enjoy the season.  It also allowed her to showcase her excellent cooking skills and signature dishes.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her daughter Nancy (Gray) Howard; daughter-in-law, June Henderson; grandchildren, Tammy (Joel) Wood, Jesse (Emily) Howard, Zachary (Carma Chase) Howard; great-grandchildren, Connor and Caleb Howard; brother, Charles Bell.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 3:00P.M. EDT at Resthaven Cemetery.   The Reverend Ronnie Jordan officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00P.M. EDT until 7:00P.M. EDT. 

Her family would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Donna Abney for the love shown and given to Mrs. Henderson.
