Mrs. Sara Frances Baker

Mrs. Sara Frances Baker, 85, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, October 21^st, 2020 at the EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.

Mrs. Baker was born in Tallapoosa County on June 22^nd, 1935 to the late Raymond Powell and Effie Jewell Weldon Powell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Johnie Bell Baker.

She was originally from Notasulga, Alabama and worked for many years in the Fairfax Mill.  After she left the textile mill, she served as a care giver.

She was a former member of Happy Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Johnie (Susan) R. Baker, Judy B. Williamson, Jason (Kelly) L. Baker; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 25^th, 2020 at 2:00PM EDT at Resthaven Cemetery in Lanett.  Her family will be receiving friends in the cemetery following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
