Obituary for Dr. Ramdas P. Kamath
Dr. Ramdas P. Kamath, age 64, of Opelika, AL passed away on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He was born on September 16th, 1954 in Mangalore, India.
Dr. Kamath is survived by his wife, Premee Kamath; his two daughters, Nayana (Dr. Sughosh) Dhakal and Nandita (Neil) Desai; his two grandchildren, Naveen Dhakal and Nikhil Dhakal; his brother, Dr. Arvind (Lekha) Kamath; his two nephews, Sainath (Mona) Kamath and Dr. Sunil Rao; his niece, Anjali (Sarthak) Singh, Esq.; his grandniece and grandnephew Mohini Kamath and Saahil Kamath.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pandurang Kamath; his mother, Prema Kamath; his sister, Shanta J. Rao; his brother in law, Jagadish Rao; and his nephew, Dr. Rajiv J. Rao.
Dr. Kamath studied Medicine in India and eventually moved to the United States in 1996. He practiced Medicine in Valley, AL and later in Opelika, AL. He was a man of principle, character and integrity who was respected by his colleagues. He dedicated himself to his noble profession and worked selflessly. He was knowledgeable and kind in his ways and loved his family and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the charity one’s choice in his memory.
