Faith Pruitt "Granny"

     Mrs. Faith Pruitt, “Granny”, passed away on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

     Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her three children, Bobbie (Donny) Holley, Michael (Phyllis) Pruitt, and Mark (Beth) Pruitt; her six grandchildren, Kristi Pruitt, Mandy Pruitt, Jennifer (Jamey) Wright, Tiffany Holley, Jody Pruitt, and Kelsey Pruitt; her four great grandchildren, Fischer Wright, Parker Wright, Walker Wright, and Grace Pirkle.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Pruitt; her parents, F. H. and Clara Mangrum; her siblings, Thelma Lane, J. H. Mangrum, Hazel Guthrie, Alfred Mangrum, Raymond Mangrum, Frances Campbell, Betty D’Angelo, and Jeannie Morris.

     Mrs. Pruitt was born on October 18th, 1933 in Shawmut, AL. She was a member of West End Baptist Church where she served as the Sunday School Secretary for over forty years. She enjoyed playing cards with her church group, working with flowers, and being outside. She loved life, being around people, her church, her family, and family activities.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9th, 2018 at 4:00 PM (EDT) at the West End Baptist Church in Valley, AL. The Reverend Don Downs will officiate. Interment will follow in Shawmut Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM (EDT) until the service hour at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the West End Baptist Church or to www.samaritanspurse.org/occ in her memory.
