Mrs. Francette Maddux Haynes, age 82, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. She was born on August 19th, 1936 in Opelika, Alabama.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by her children, Joy (Russell) Janney of Hogansville, Georgia and Chip (Melanie) Haynes of Pike Road, Alabama; her grandchildren, Amber (Josh) Hasty of Jacksonville, Florida, Adam (Harmony) Janney of Atlanta, Georgia, Kayla (Daulton) Tullis of Montgomery, Alabama, Allie Haynes of Pike Road, Alabama, and Holly Haynes of Pike Road, Alabama; her great grandchild, Maddux Hasty of Jacksonville, Florida, and another great grandchild that will be here soon; her brother, Frankie Maddux of Roanoke, Alabama; her sisters, Bobbie Harris of St. Stephens, Alabama and Sylvia (Bobby) Smoot of Lanett, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woody Haynes; her brother, Walter L. Maddux.
Mrs. Haynes was a member of Plant City Baptist Church. She began work for Leslie Scroggs in 1954 and worked there for forty-seven years. After retiring she spent seventeen years working for Johnson Brown-Service. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Pastor Brad Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Christian Service Center, PO Box 227, Lanett, AL, 36863 in her memory.
