James Floyd Thrower “Red”, age 80, resident of Beulah, Alabama passed away at 6:15 AM on October 8th, 2019 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. He was born on October 18th, 1938 in Lee County, Alabama.
Mr. Thrower was an active member of Fredonia Community Holiness Church. In his earlier years he served in the National Guard reserves and worked and retired from Fairfax Mill .He was a hard worker and loved cutting grass and reading his bible. He never met any strangers and loved his family and his Auburn Tigers.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers Harvey Thrower, Tommy Thrower, and Lamar Thrower.
Mr. Thrower is survived by his wife Dorothy Thrower; his three daughters, Teresa Mcquiston (Steve), Tina Alewine, and Paulina White; his brother, Billy Thrower; four grandkids, Christopher Alewine, Christina Alewine, Alaina Alewine, and Parker White; several nieces and nephews and many friends and church family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Alabama. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. The Reverend Milford McClain will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
