Joan Elaine Austin Obituary

Mrs. Joan Elaine Coffman Austin, of Valley, Alabama, a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Opelika, Alabama at the age of 77 with her family at her side.

She was born on May 24, 1941 in Howard County, Maryland.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bobby Austin, her children, Sherry Isaacs (Jerry), Dawn Henry (Jamie), Kimberly Austin, Rodney Austin (Connie), Karen Price (Steve); 10 grandchildren, Robert & Nicolas Isaacs, Joshua, Jessica & Raven Henry, Heather & Sammy Austin, Michael, Christopher, & Ashley Price; 10 great-grandchildren, Noah & Caleb Henry, Christian & Tristian McConnell, Micah & Skye Templeton, Liam Kerry, Kacie & Dylan Price, Isaac Austin, and two sisters, Betty Whitehead & Louise Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Meadows & Pastor David Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.
