Mr. Lynwood Wadkins, age 83, of Valley, AL passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his residence.

     Mr. Wadkins is survived by his daughter, Debbie W. (Larry) Boettcher; and his niece, Gail Heath.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Wadkins; his sister, Joyce Gray; and his parents, Annie Jo Wadkins and Crayton Claude Wadkins.

     Mr. Wadkins was born on January 28, 1934 in Langdale, AL. He was a member of Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Wadkins was a meat cutter at Hayes for a number of years and was also the owner / operator of Big T t-shirt shop. He enjoyed eating breakfast regularly with his friends at McDonald’s and spending time at Danny Boy Wadkins antique shop. He was a great and loving father.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 4:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow at Langdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Chattahoochee Hospice in his memory.
