Mr. Benny Frank Andrews, Jr. Obituary

Benny Frank Andrews, Jr. was born on April 6, 1943 in Langdale, Alabama. He went home to be with Jesus on May 14, 2019 at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Andrews, his 3 children-Tisha Andrews (Larry) Henry of Peachtree City, Georgia, Tim (Nancy) Andrews, of Glenn St. Mary, Florida, and Tracy (Corrie) Andrews, of Auburn, Alabama. He is also survived by his brother, Donnie (Delores) Andrews of Panama City Beach, Florida, and 9 grandchildren-Abby Henry, Atlanta, Georgia, Luke Henry, Kennesaw, Georgia, Alli and Aiden Andrews, Glenn St. Mary, Florida, and Sabrina, Piper, Cason, Ryder, and Judson Andrews of Auburn, Alabama. Mr. Andrews is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Nellie Andrews of Valley, Alabama and his grand-daughter Sadie Grace Andrews of Auburn, Alabama.    

Mr. Andrews was a member of Valley Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966 and was Honorably Discharged from the Alabama National Guard in 1976. He worked at West Point Foundry for many years and retired from Golden’s Machine Shop in Columbus, Georgia. He loved old cars, cats, fishing, and Alabama football. But his favorite things in life were his wife, his 3 children, and his 10 grandchildren. 

Services will be held at Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama with his son, Pastor Tim Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 15, from 6:00-8:00 EST. The funeral service will be on Thursday, May 16 at 11:00 AM EST with burial to follow at Johnson Memorial Gardens.  The family would like to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice for all of their support, love, and care.  Flowers will be accepted as well as memorials to Hospice Angels, 1171 Gatewood Drive, Bldg. 100,  Auburn, Alabama 36830.
