Mr. Donald C. Poe

Donald C. Poe, 79, of Valley went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 21^st, 2018.

 
Mr. Poe is survived by his wife of 58 years Janet Poe; his sons Greg (Shannon) Poe and Derek Poe; grandchildren, Ivy Sellers (Jesse), Daniel Poe (Sydney) and Brandon Poe; great-grandchildren, Ethan and EJ Sellers; brothers, Ben (Sabrina) Poe, Eddie (Dianne) Poe, and Mike (Phyllis) Poe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Poe was preceded in death by his parents D.W. and Amelia Poe and brothers Jimmy and Johnny Poe.

A lifelong resident of the Valley, Mr. Poe was an active member of Plant City Baptist Church, where he served many terms as a Deacon of the church.

He loved his family and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He enjoyed working in his garden, sitting on his front porch, and hunting in his younger years.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 25^th, 2018 at 3:00P.M. EST at the Plant City Baptist Church.  The Reverend Brad Reed officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30P.M. EST until the service hour.
