Mr. Gary Edward McConnell, age 63, of Cusseta, Alabama passed away on Monday, October 1st, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. McConnell was born on October 17^th, 1954 in Opelika, Alabama to the late Edward F. McConnell and Joyce Evelyn Powell McConnell.

Gary worked as a rigging foreman and millwright in the commercial and industrial construction and maintenance of power plants and other similar type plants.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing pool.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Payne McConnell; children, Heather McConnell, Danita Harrelson, Brandy Cunningham Smith, Casey Cunningham, Johnny Cunningham; siblings, Brenda McConnell, Larry (Shelia) McConnell, and Donna McConnell; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 4th, 2018 at 4:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00P.M. EDT until the service hour.
