Mr. Marshall Wayne Gilley Obituary

Mr. Marshall Wayne Gilley, 68, of Lanett, AL passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. He was born on December 9, 1949 in Sand Mountain, AL. He was of the Baptist faith.

Marshall was a hardworking man mostly known for his years of service with G. E. Robinson Trucking and Troup Haul Trucking. He loved riding his Harley, trucking, and most of all his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda Gilley; mother, Mary Lucille Richards; brothers, Kennith (Debbie) Gilley, David Gilley, James Gilley; sister, Kathy (John) Hall; Uncle, LQ Gilley; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Gilley and Diane Holder; daughter-in-law, Denise Gaddy; six children, Lisa (Rafael) Perez, Diana Michelle Stollings, Ricky Gilley, Anthony (Ashley) Jacobs, Michael Wyatt, and Misty (Jonathan) Hester; 13 grandchildren, Ashley (Brix) Burnett, Marshanna McClellan, Derrek (Ansleigh) Gilley, Dylan Gilley, Miguel Perez, Breanna Allen, Jordan Hester, Allyssa Jacobs, Piper Jacobs, Lane Perez, Judith Jacobs, Gracie Jacobs, and Harley Melton. Two great-grandchildren; Daxton and Beau Gilley.

Special friends; Ronald (Linda) Dewberry, Robert (Jone) Clifton, Travis (Christy) Blackmon.

He also leaves behind nephews, nieces, and countless lives that he touched and loved.

He was preceded in death by his father WP Gilley, brother, Jonny Mac Gilley, granddaughter, Rachael Marie Perez, long-time friends, McCoy Burdette and Ricky Hurst.

A visitation will be held at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM EST.
