Mr. Mike Brown, Sr.

Mr. Mike Brown, Sr., age 68, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Monday, June 4^th, 2018 at the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Mr. Brown was born in Chambers County, Alabama on August, 21^st, 1949 to the late Curtis and Viola Brown. 

Mr. Brown was of the Christian faith.

He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending dove and turkey shoots.  He was an avid University of Alabama football fan.

He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He dearly loved his grandchildren and his great-grandson. 

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha Brown; sons, Michael (Jan) Brown, Jr., Shane (Lisa) Brown; grandchildren, Brittany Clifton Still, Josh Brown, Ella Brown, Emma Brown; great-grandson, Wrangler Clifton; siblings, Tony (Ann) Brown, Rebecca (Johnny) Jackson, Annette (Freddie) Freeman, Larry Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8^th, 2018 at 11:00A.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley.  Mr. Gerald Bodie officiating. His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00A.M. EDT until 11:00A.M. EDT.  

The family respectfully declines the offering of floral tributes and requests that memorials be made in Mr. Brown’s memory to a charity of your choice.
