Mrs. Exa Allen Rearden, 94, of Tuscaloosa, AL, formerly of Valley, AL passed away on Friday, December 1st, 2017 at Capstone Village in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Mrs. Rearden was born in Chambers County, Alabama on May 16^th, 1923 to the late Louella and Paul Allen.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Thomas Rearden and her siblings, Laurence, Jimmie, Arnold Allen, and Sara Allen Mann.

Mrs. Rearden was a member of the Fairfax Baptist Church and she retired from the West Point Pepperell Company.

She is survived by her daughter, Louellyn (Doug) Phillips of Duncanville, AL.; two grandchildren, Sara (Steven) Shirley, Northport, AL and Forrest Phillips, LaFayette, LA;   much loved nieces and nephews, and two special caregivers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 8^th, 2017 at 1:00p.m. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Johnson Memorial Gardens.  The Reverend Chuck Goodwin officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00A.M. EST until the service hour.
