Mrs. Kathy Diane Henry Johnson, age 61, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, August 11th, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Gadsden, Alabama on July 29th, 1956 to the late Melvin Gilbert Henry and Velma Delores Williams Henry.   She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Henry.

Mrs. Johnson was on the Baptist faith.  She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed conversation.  She was a perfectionist and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She grew up during the time of Lynyrd Skynyrd and loved listening to their music and other southern rock music popularized by Lynyrd Skynyrd in the 1970’s.  She also loved listening to Willie Nelson.  She was a huge fan of both Lynyrd Skynyrd and Willie Nelson.

Mrs. Johnson was an avid University of Alabama Football fan.

Other interests in her life included collecting an assortment of items such as angel figurines, Indian figurines, amber glass, and dreamcatchers.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon Johnson, Jr.; children, Stephen Lewis, Kimberly Lewis, Brittany (David) Johnson; grandchildren, Ashley (John) Blevins, Kassady (Ben) Coxwell, Meagan (Joey) Leatherwood, Alex Leatherwood, Justin Lewis, Brayden, Ryleigh, Skylar, Ayden, Aubrey, Karma ‘Paige, Ty, Sawyer, Joseph, Jacob, Jayce, Kayden, Kayson, Blaizley, Addalyn; siblings, Judy (Harold) Watts, Ted (Dale) Henry, Tim Henry, Richard Henry; sister-in-law, Margie Henry; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 15th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. CDT (3:00P.M. EDT) at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, 2209 East Broad Street, Gadsden, Alabama 35903.  The family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama Monday evening from 6:00P.M. CDT until 8:00P.M. CDT (7:00P.M. EDT until 9:00P.M. EDT).
