Mrs. Lavada Cannon Daniel Obituary

Mrs. Lavada Pearl Cannon Daniel “Sis”, 83, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 3:00 PM EST from Johnson Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark McGee officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, AL.  Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM EST at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Daniel is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frank H. Daniel; five children, Roy Daniel (Betty Joyce), Harold Daniel (Sherry), Lorene Daniel, Debbie Daniel, Ronald Daniel (Melissa); seven grandchildren, Lou Buckner (Jody), Chad Daniel (Ashley), Patti Rowe (John), Josh Daniel, Shannon Daniel (Aaron), Jamie Mathis (Makayla), Beth Mathis; 13 great-grandchildren, Hailey Buckner, Jacob, Luke, Noah, & Jana Daniel, Dillion & Logan Smith, Wyatt & Alexis Rowe, Skylar & Starlet Hester, Allen & Shelby Mathis; and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Bessie Cannon; son, Charlie Daniel; grandchildren, Patrick Prestridge & Brad Daniel;  sister, Allie Lee Cannon; brothers, James, Arsie Doard, Grady, & Ocie Cannon.

She was born in West Point, GA on April 21, 1935.  She was a member of Ridge Road Baptist Church in Opelika.  Her family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.
