Mrs. Mary S. Patterson

Mrs. Mary S. Patterson, age 84, of Valley passed away on Wednesday, August 28^th, 2019 at the LaFayette Nursing Home in LaFayette, Alabama.

Mrs. Patterson was born on September 21^st, 1934 in Dadeville, Alabama to the late Roy Sanders and Alma Collum Sanders. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Patterson; a son, Ricky Cecil Patterson; brother, William Sanders; sister, Betty Baker; grandson, Joseph Landreth.

Mrs. Patterson worked for and retired from West Point Stevens after 28 years of service.

She attended Huguley Nazarene Church.  She loved her family and loved the time she spent with all of her grandchildren.

She enjoyed crocheting, loved gospel music, loved to fish, and was an excellent cook.

She is survived by her children, Jean (Edwin, Jr.) Gleaton, Deborah Patterson, Jane Landreth, Johnnie Patterson; siblings, Johnnie (Diane) Sanders, Ruth (Kenneth) Smith, Evelyn Collier, Lois Sparks; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members; friend and caregiver, Jennie Bland.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 1^st, 2019 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with interment following in Lebanon Cemetery near Dadeville, Alabama.  Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00P.M. EDT until the service hour.
