Mrs. Virginia Irene Stearns Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Irene Stearns, age 85, of Valley passed away on Wednesday, May 23^rd, 2018 at the LaFayette Extended Care in LaFayette, Alabama.

Mrs. Stearns was born in Sargent, Georgia on August 3^rd, 1932 to the late Sam Harper and Addie Mae Armstrong Harper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, James W. Stearns; grandchildren, Teia Smith, Heath Reaves, and Little John Stearns.

Mrs. Stearns was a member of the Blanton Baptist Church. She worked and retired from West Point Pepperell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing work in her yard.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia S. (Mike) Reaves, Ricky (Patricia) Stearns, Johnny Stearns; grandchildren, Jamie Reaves, Brandy Butler; 5 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 25^th, 2018 at 11:00A.M. EDT 10:00A.M. CDT at the Beulah Cemetery in Beulah. The Reverend Jim Dykes officiating. Her family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley Thursday evening from 6:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT.
