Ms. Linda Starling Kelley, age 59, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away on Sunday October 8, 2017 at her residence.

A native of Lanett, Alabama and LaGrange, Georgia, Linda attended Columbus State University where she graduated, with honors, earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  After graduation, she taught at LaGrange High School for 24 years, before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Starling; her grandmother, Annie Thrower; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Linda was a member of the Lanett Congregational Christian Church in Lanett and served in different capacities and roles within the church over the years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Claudia Parrish of LaGrange, GA; her ex-husband, Larry Kelley of LaGrange, GA; her sisters: Jennifer (Jerry) Coleman of West Point, GA; JoAnn  (Hugh) Daniel of Lanett, AL; Clara Pitts of Valley, AL; her brother, Tommy Starling of Valley, AL; her nieces: Regina (Drew) Creamer, Tabitha (Stephen) Thomas of Valley, AL; Annie (Ryan) Dunn of Columbia, MO; Hunter Pitts and Russell Wallace of Birmingham, AL; her nephews: Chris  (Kelli) Daniel, Tommy (Charlotte) Starling, and Lee Coleman of Valley, AL; Terry (Claudia) Daniel of Lanett, AL; Clint (Beth) Starling of Wellington, AL; Great nieces: Esther Starling and Raelyn Thomas of Valley, AL; Samantha Daniel of Lanett, AL; Hope Starling of Wellington, AL; Great nephews: Connor Daniel, Collin Daniel, Tyler Creamer, and Colin Thomas of Valley, AL; Gabriel Daniel of Lanett, AL; Jacob Starling of  Wellington, AL; Kendall Brooks and Kaden Coleman of LaGrange, GA; Rhett Dunn of Columbia, MO.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at 2:00P.M. EDT at the Lanett Congregational Christian Church with interment following in Johnson Memorial Gardens.  The Reverend Danny Spear officiating.  Her family will be receiving friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home, 3700 20th Avenue, Valley, Alabama 36854, Tuesday evening from 5:00P.M. EDT until 8:00P.M. EDT. 

Flowers will be accepted or the family requests that memorials be made in her name to the Lanett Congregational Christian Church, P.O. Box 609, Lanett, Alabama 36863.
