Mr. Robert Larry Reese, 75, of Valley, AL passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 4:00 PM EST at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Bass officiating.  Burial will follow at Shawmut Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Edwards Reese of Valley; children, Matt Simmons (Lisa) of Robertsdale, AL; Dana Hilyer (Deke) & Stacy Ennis of Opelika, AL; brothers, Pedro Reese (Josephine) & George Reese (Doris) both of Valley; and seven grandchildren.  He was the son of the late Lucille Simpkins Reese and Clifton Reese.

Mr. Reese was born in West Point, GA.  He was a veteran, serving with the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a former employee of the Barbers Milk Company and was an avid Auburn University fan.  He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 600 River Road, Valley, AL 36854.
