Mr. Spencer Leroy Johnson, 56, of Valley, AL passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at East Alabama Medical Center at Lanier.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Jordan officiating.  Burial will follow at Shawmut Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his father, Kenneth Leroy Johnson (Barbara); aunt, Brenda Carmichael; step-sister, Kathy Snowden (Mike); step-brother, Joel Upchurch (Delana); and nieces, nephews, & cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Pattyrue Martin Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was born in Chambers County, AL on February, 7, 1961.  He attended Springwood Academy. He was an Eagle Scout and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lanett, and had many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lanett or to one’s favorite charity.
